More than 10 years ago I started as a freelance web designer. I've worked at Driebit (Amsterdam) and later at IPPZ (Utrecht). The more I worked on creating software for the internet, the more I've been drawn towards the back-end of applications.
When it comes to developing software, I value maintainability and reliability. Therefore I love to write code after writing a test so I can be certain that I've made something work. To cite Robert Martin: "The only way to go fast is to go well". This means that the software I deliver works, is self-explaining, tested and extensible.
To give you an idea of the things that have kept me busy the last couple of years: Symfony2, quality assurance, web application security, web services, TDD, reusable code.
